New Delhi, 21 November (Daily Kiran): Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL), India’s third-largest telecom operator, has launched Vi Suraksha, a safety solution designed to help locate children and others who may get lost in crowded areas during the annual Sabarimala pilgrimage. The initiative has been launched in partnership with the Kerala Police.

Under the programme, children will be given QR-coded wristbands containing essential details, including the guardian’s contact number. This will assist authorities in quickly reuniting lost children with their families.
How to get the Vi Suraksha wristband
-
Parents/guardians can pre-register their children at http://www.visuraksha.online or by visiting any Vi Store or Vi Mini Store in Kerala to obtain a digital registration ID.
-
During the pilgrimage, the ID can be shown at Vi Suraksha kiosks at the Pamba base camp to collect the QR-coded wristbands linked to the registered contact number.
The service is free of cost and available to all pilgrims.
Last year, Vodafone Idea distributed around 20,000 wristbands and helped reunite more than 150 missing children with their families with the support of the Kerala Police. Vi has also enhanced network connectivity on the Sabarimala route to ensure smooth communication for devotees this year.
