Mumbai, March 16:
As the launch date approaches on March 30, new insights about the Vivo X300 Ultra have emerged. Vivo’s product manager, Han Boxiao, has revealed exciting details regarding the device’s video capabilities, emphasizing enhancements tailored for both casual users and professional content creators.
Significant Upgrades for Professional Video Recording
According to Boxiao, the Vivo X300 Ultra builds on the success of the Vivo X200 Pro, which received positive feedback for its video features across various markets. The new model is designed with a strong emphasis on professional recording, boasting advancements in hardware processing, shooting controls, and post-production flexibility.
One of the standout features is the support for full focal length 4K 120fps 10bit Log recording. While the previous generation offered full focal length 4K 60fps Log video, the X300 Ultra doubles the frame rate to 120fps. This enhancement is expected to deliver smoother footage and increased editing flexibility. Notably, all three rear cameras are reported to support these recording specifications, eliminating limitations across focal lengths and ensuring consistent output regardless of the lens used.
The phone is also set to introduce an upgraded Professional Video Mode with a redesigned interface. The recording screen will reportedly display shooting information more clearly, allowing creators to adjust a broad range of parameters. Another impressive feature is the ability to preview 3D LUT color profiles while recording Log footage, enabling creators to assess colors and tones in real-time rather than waiting for the editing phase.
For post-production workflows, the device is said to support APV 422 professional video encoding. This format provides a wider color range and enhanced editing flexibility. Vivo claims that the Log footage can seamlessly integrate into ACES color workflows commonly used in film production, facilitating smoother collaboration with cinema cameras during color grading.
In addition to the Vivo X300 Ultra, reports suggest that the March 30 launch event will also unveil the Vivo X300s smartphone and the Vivo Pad 6 Pro tablet.
