Vishwa Hindu Parishad Launches Campaign for Mathura Temple Construction

Lucknow, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has declared its intention to intensify efforts regarding issues tied to the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi complex in Mathura. This announcement came during a recent Dharma Sansad held in Lucknow, where VHP National President Gopal Rai stated that the council passed twelve resolutions.

Among these resolutions is a campaign for constructing a grand Krishna temple in Mathura. The VHP will also launch the ‘Braj Swabhimaan’ initiative, protest against political parties opposing temple construction, and establish call centers to address issues related to religious conversions. The council aims to conduct a nationwide campaign addressing various matters concerning Sanatan Dharma.

In an interview, Gopal Rai emphasized that for the first time, national leaders from multiple countries gathered on a single platform. He noted that the event’s purpose is to unite against the attacks on Sanatan Dharma occurring worldwide. The Mathura dispute was a focal point of the Dharma Sansad, leading to a specific resolution on the matter. The VHP claims that an Eidgah has been built on the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi site and is advocating for its removal to facilitate the construction of a magnificent temple.

The VHP plans to kick off its awareness campaign on November 5, with a significant gathering expected in Mathura on December 5. On this date, they intend to recite the Hanuman Chalisa at the Eidgah and initiate cleaning efforts in preparation for the temple’s construction. However, the matter remains under judicial review, with ongoing legal proceedings among various parties regarding the land.

Rai mentioned that if the involved parties are willing to reach a mutual agreement, the VHP is prepared to offer up to ten times the land in exchange. He compared this potential resolution to the agreement reached for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. While he believes that the dispute can be resolved through dialogue and consensus, the VHP is committed to advancing its campaign for the Krishna temple in Mathura.
