Minister Demands Apology from Congress President Kharge Over Controversial Remarks
Minister Danish Ansari calls for Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge to apologize for his controversial comments about PM Modi.

Ballia, October 26 (Daily Kiran) : Tensions in Uttar Pradesh politics escalated following controversial remarks made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Minister Danish Ansari criticized Kharge’s comments, labeling them as highly objectionable and demanding an apology.
In a recent conversation, Ansari expressed concern over Kharge’s statement, suggesting that political despair had clouded his judgment. “When senior leaders of the Congress party make such remarks, it reflects the mindset of their grassroots workers. If the top leadership uses such language, what can we expect from their other leaders?” he questioned.
Ansari emphasized the need for decorum in politics, asserting that the Congress party seems to have abandoned this principle. He referenced previous controversial statements made by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi against PM Modi, stating that Kharge has now joined this trend.
The minister further questioned whether Kharge’s desperation following electoral defeats had led him to make such inflammatory comments. “The public is watching, and they know what the Congress party stands for. Kharge and the Congress should apologize for this,” he asserted.
Turning his attention to the Samajwadi Party (SP), Ansari criticized their ‘PDA’ (People’s Development Authority), claiming it primarily serves the interests of one family. He argued that this mechanism excludes backward classes, Dalits, and Muslim minorities from its benefits.
Ansari also targeted the SP’s selection process for Rajya Sabha candidates, suggesting they could have chosen a poor Muslim candidate but failed to do so. This, he argued, illustrates the SP’s tendency to mislead society. He predicted that the electorate would teach them a lesson in the upcoming 2027 elections, foreseeing another victory for the BJP’s “double-engine” government.
In response to comments made by political leader Owaisi, Ansari invited him to visit Uttar Pradesh to witness the ongoing development. He expressed confidence that the people of the state are placing their trust in the BJP, anticipating a successful bid for re-election in 2027.
Lastly, regarding an upcoming rally concerning the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Ansari criticized the Congress for organizing events that inconvenience the public. He claimed that the general populace has distanced itself from opposition rallies, stating that the leaders of the India Block have been exposed.
