Vice President to Attend 35th Convocation of Rajasthan University on April 25

Jaipur, April 25: Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan will participate in the 35th convocation ceremony of Rajasthan University in Jaipur on Saturday, as confirmed by an official on Friday.

In addition to the convocation, the Vice President will also attend the 23rd Cancer Survivors Day organized by the Bhagwan Mahavir Cancer Hospital and Research Center in Jaipur.

Earlier on Thursday, Vice President Radhakrishnan presided over the sixth convocation of AIIMS Rishikesh in Uttarakhand. He reminded graduates that the convocation marks not only the culmination of years of disciplined effort and sacrifice but also the beginning of a significant responsibility towards society and the nation.

He urged graduates to fulfill their professional duties with dedication and a sense of purpose.

The Vice President emphasized that healthcare is a public trust, and medical professionals play a crucial role in nation-building. He encouraged young graduates to contribute through preventive care, access to rural areas, research, and innovation, while remaining inspired by the values of empathy, integrity, and service.

Highlighting the spiritual and cultural significance of Rishikesh as a global center for contemplation and healing, Vice President Radhakrishnan noted that such an environment adds profound meaning to the convocation ceremony.

Reflecting on the challenges posed by the pandemic, the Vice President stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has demonstrated resilience, innovation, and commitment. He pointed out that over 140 million citizens have received free vaccines, ensuring equitable access to healthcare, especially in underserved areas.

He stressed that Indian scientists developed vaccines not for profit but for the welfare of humanity. The Vice President also highlighted India’s global responsibility through the ‘Vaccine Maitri’ initiative, which provided vaccines to over 100 countries.

He stated that this initiative reflects the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world is one family) and strengthens India’s role as a compassionate and responsible global partner.
