Varun Gandhi Meets PM Modi, Calls Him the Nations True Guardian

New Delhi, March 17: BJP leader Varun Gandhi met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi alongside his family. He described the meeting as very special, stating it was a privilege that strengthened his belief that the Prime Minister is the true “guardian” of the country and its people.

After the meeting, Varun Gandhi shared his feelings on the social media platform X. He wrote, “I had the honor of meeting the esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi with my family and receiving his blessings and guidance.”

He praised PM Modi’s personality and leadership, saying, “Your aura reflects a paternal affection and protection. This encounter further solidifies my belief that you are the true guardian of the nation and its citizens.”

Varun Gandhi is a prominent member of the Nehru-Gandhi family. He is the son of Menaka Gandhi and the late Sanjay Gandhi, who was the youngest son of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

In his political journey, Varun Gandhi has established a strong identity within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has served as a Member of Parliament for the Pilibhit constituency in Uttar Pradesh three times and has remained active within the party.

His mother, Menaka Gandhi, distanced herself from Congress and other members of the Nehru-Gandhi family after Sanjay Gandhi’s death in a plane crash in 1980. She formally joined the BJP in 2004, advancing her political career alongside her son Varun Gandhi.

At that time, Varun Gandhi justified his decision to join the BJP as being in the nation’s interest. He stated, “I believe that strengthening the BJP and joining it is in the country’s interest, which is why I made this decision.”

Following this, Varun Gandhi quickly made a name for himself in the party and was appointed as the BJP’s General Secretary in 2012.
