Vaidehi Chaudhary and Man Kesarwani secure titles at the 31st Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship in New Delhi.

New Delhi, October 10 (Daily Kiran) : In the 31st Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship held in New Delhi, top seed Vaidehi Chaudhary and sixth seed Man Kesarwani triumphed in the women’s and men’s singles categories, respectively.

Chaudhary, a two-time champion from 2022 and 2024, defeated 20-year-old Shruti Ahlawat with a score of 6-4, 7-5, securing her third Fenesta Open title. The match lasted for 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Following her victory, Chaudhary expressed her pride, stating, “I feel very proud. This is my third title, so I am very happy right now. In the first set, I was leading 5-3, and she was fighting hard. In the second set, I was again ahead at 5-3, but she kept battling until the end. It was a fantastic and tough match.”

In the men’s singles final, Man Kesarwani claimed his first Fenesta Open title by defeating third seed Nitin Sinha 6-0, 6-4. This match lasted 1 hour and 37 minutes.

Kesarwani started strong, winning the first six games without dropping a single one. The second set was more competitive, but Kesarwani managed to secure a crucial break at 3-2 and held his serve to clinch the match.

He praised his opponent, saying, “The first set was easy, but I want to congratulate my opponent, who played through an injury. I have great respect for him. In the second set, my game faltered a bit, but I broke his serve at 3-2 and then held my own to achieve victory. This is my first Fenesta title. For the past four years, I had been losing in the first round, but this time I reached the finals and won. I am very emotional and don’t know how to express it, but I am very happy. I especially want to thank my parents for their unwavering support.”
