Leaders Celebrate Ayurveda Day, Highlight Its Role in a Healthy Lifestyle

New Delhi, September 23 (Daily Kiran) : As India marked the 11th National Ayurveda Day on September 23, leaders from across the nation extended their greetings, honoring the ancient tradition of Ayurveda. They emphasized that Ayurveda represents not just a medical system but also a foundation for a healthy lifestyle.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta took to social media platform X to express her thoughts, stating, “Ayurveda is a knowledge tradition that has thrived for thousands of years in India, now gaining global recognition under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” She added that the theme for this year’s Ayurveda Day, “Ayurveda for a Healthy Future,” inspires a commitment to strengthen this heritage within modern healthcare. The Delhi government is dedicated to enhancing Ayurveda and AYUSH services to connect this invaluable Indian knowledge with public health.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated the residents of his state, saying, “Warm greetings and best wishes to all on National Ayurveda Day. Ayurveda is not only our ancient medical tradition but also embodies a holistic vision for a healthy life and balance with nature.” He highlighted the central government’s initiatives, including the Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and the National Ayush Mission, aimed at making Ayurveda and comprehensive health services accessible to everyone. “Let us pledge to advance Ayurveda’s rich heritage with a modern scientific perspective and contribute to building a healthy and empowered Uttarakhand,” he urged.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma remarked, “Ayurveda is a treasure of India’s medical and knowledge traditions, paving the way for a healthy lifestyle and balanced routines.” He encouraged the adoption of Ayurvedic principles in daily life to foster a healthier society. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari echoed similar sentiments, wishing everyone well on National Ayurveda Day and urging the integration of Ayurveda into daily practices for a balanced life.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa shared a Sanskrit verse to convey his best wishes, stating, “The essence of Ayurveda is understanding what is beneficial and harmful, joyful and sorrowful for life.” Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also extended his greetings, noting, “Under Prime Minister Modi’s adept leadership, India’s rich Ayurvedic heritage is gaining global recognition. By integrating Ayurveda with modern healthcare, we can contribute to realizing a ‘Healthy India’ and pass our glorious medical tradition to future generations.”
