UPSC CAPF Recruitment: 349 Assistant Commandant Positions Open for Graduates

New Delhi, February 21: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the recruitment of 349 Assistant Commandant (AC) positions through the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The online application process commenced on February 20, with the deadline set for March 13.

Eligible candidates interested in applying for these positions can do so until 6 PM on the last date. The recruitment includes 108 positions for BSF, 106 for CRPF, 12 for ITBP, 53 for SSB, and 70 for CISF.

Candidates must be between the ages of 20 and 25 as of August 1, 2026, with age relaxation applicable for reserved category candidates as per regulations.

Additionally, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a university established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature or recognized under the UGC Act of 1956.

When filling out the application, candidates must pay the prescribed fee online, which is ₹200 for General, OBC, and EWS male candidates. Women candidates and those from SC/ST categories are exempt from the application fee.

The written examination for the positions will be conducted on July 19. Successful candidates will then undergo a Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Interview/Personality Test (PT), and Medical Standard Test (MST).

To apply, candidates should visit the official UPSC website. After accessing the homepage, click on the relevant link. A new page will open where you can enter your login credentials and submit. Fill in all required information in the application form, upload necessary documents, photos, and signatures. Pay the application fee and submit the form. Finally, take a printout of the application for future reference.
