Moscow, July 19: Ukraine launched drone attacks in the Moscow region, resulting in one death and 61 injuries. Regional Governor Andrei Vorobyov shared this information via social media.
Vorobyov reported that 20 of the injured individuals were treated and sent home. According to the Xinhua news agency, nine others remain in serious condition, while 31 are stable.
The injured are under medical supervision. Most victims suffered injuries from shrapnel and explosions, including severe brain injuries, broken bones, burns, and respiratory issues due to smoke inhalation.
Vorobyov noted that the city of Elektrostal, located about 60 kilometers east of Moscow, was the hardest hit, with 57 injuries reported. In Noginsk, four additional individuals were injured.
Earlier on Saturday, Vorobyov mentioned that a drone had crashed in a warehouse area in Elektrostal, injuring 24 people.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement claiming that Russian air defense systems shot down 774 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones and 13 guided aerial bombs in the last 24 hours.
The ministry stated that the Russian military conducted drone and air strikes on Ukrainian military installations throughout the night.
These attacks targeted infrastructure at the Odesa port used for unloading fuel and lubricants, as well as fuel storage facilities that support the Ukrainian army.
Additionally, the ministry reported an attack on a container ship unloading ammunition at the Chornomorsk port in the Odesa region. The Russian military also targeted a dry cargo ship in the Black Sea near Snake Island, which was carrying supplies for the Ukrainian army.
