U.S. Central Command Confirms Casualties in Operation Epic Fury

Washington, March 2: The U.S. Central Command has reported that three American soldiers were killed during a major combat operation known as Operation ‘Epic Fury’. Additionally, five other soldiers have sustained serious injuries. This information was released on Sunday.

At 9:30 AM Eastern Time, the U.S. Central Command issued an update stating, “Three American soldiers were killed during the operation, and five are critically injured.”

The statement further noted, “Several others have suffered minor shrapnel wounds and head injuries. They are being returned to duty. The major combat operation and our response continue.”

The Central Command emphasized that the situation remains unstable. They also mentioned that they will not disclose the identities of the fallen soldiers until their families have been informed.

This announcement marks the first confirmation of American casualties since the launch of Operation ‘Epic Fury’. U.S. officials have described the operation as targeting elements of Iran’s security and military infrastructure.

The Central Command dismissed claims by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which alleged that it had targeted a U.S. aircraft carrier in the region.

According to the Central Command, the IRGC’s assertion that it attacked the USS Abraham Lincoln with ballistic missiles is false. The Lincoln has not sustained any damage, and the missiles did not reach it. The carrier continues to conduct flights in support of the Central Command’s ongoing mission to eliminate threats posed by the Iranian regime to the American people.

The statement indicated that the USS Abraham Lincoln is deployed in support of American operations.

Citing the evolving nature of the conflict, the Central Command declined to provide further operational details.

The casualty figures may intensify scrutiny and questions in Washington, where lawmakers are seeking clarity regarding the scope, duration, and objectives of the operation.

Defense officials have characterized the operation as necessary to counter threats posed by Iran’s military and associated forces.

Operation ‘Epic Fury’ commenced earlier this week, with U.S. and allied forces launching attacks on multiple targets. Officials have described it as a continuous effort rather than a series of one-time airstrikes.

Reports indicate that U.S. airstrikes have also resulted in the deaths of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several top leaders of the country.
