Annamalai to Engage with Public on Social Media, Political Speculation Intensifies

Chennai, June 4: K. Annamalai, the former president of the Tamil Nadu BJP, has announced that he will engage with the public via social media this Friday at noon. This announcement has sparked speculation in political circles that he may be on the verge of making a significant political decision or announcement.

In a post on the social media platform X, Annamalai expressed his enthusiasm for connecting with people online, exchanging ideas, and fostering open dialogue. This message comes at a time when discussions are rife about his potential departure from the BJP to embark on a new political journey.

For weeks, there have been speculations regarding Annamalai’s political future. Following the defeat of the AIADMK-BJP alliance in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections, reports emerged suggesting that he was dissatisfied with the importance given to him within the party after stepping down as state president.

Recently, Annamalai visited New Delhi, where he met with BJP National President Nitin Naveen. He also had discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding his political plans.

According to sources, following these developments, the BJP leadership summoned Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran to Delhi for urgent consultations. Despite the efforts of senior party leaders, Annamalai’s stance appears unchanged.

Political analysts believe that Annamalai seems determined to pursue an independent political path. Meanwhile, rumors about the formation of a new political party have gained momentum.

Expressing gratitude to supporters, friends, and well-wishers who wished him on his birthday, Annamalai stated that the affection, encouragement, and continuous support from the people inspire him to work with greater dedication for the welfare of farmers, youth, women, and children, as well as for a prosperous future for Tamil Nadu.

Shortly after this message, he announced his public engagement via social media for Friday at noon. This event has heightened interest in Tamil Nadu’s political landscape, with everyone eager to see if he will use this platform to clarify his next political move or the formation of a new party.
