Dwarka District, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : Authorities in Dwarka District took significant action on September 6, arresting two Ugandan women who were residing in India without valid documentation. The women had overstayed their visas and were living in the country illegally.
Under the direction of DCP Kushal Pal Singh and with oversight from ACP Dabri, the police launched a special operation aimed at identifying foreign nationals who remained in India beyond their visa expiration. This initiative also targets foreigners with pending criminal cases.
A team led by the SHO of Uttam Nagar, including SI Johnny Kumar and Head Constables Vinod and Sunita, began investigations in the Uttam Nagar area. They gathered information from local residents and utilized technical surveillance and human intelligence to locate the two women.
The arrested individuals, identified as Dorine Empurire and Gorett Adong, were unable to provide any legal documents during questioning. They had neither valid visas nor any paperwork to justify their stay in India.
Following their arrest, both women were presented to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Delhi. After appropriate verification, they were sent to a detention center at Seva Sadan, Shahzada Bagh, Sarai Rohilla, Delhi.
The police have initiated legal proceedings for their illegal stay in India. The Dwarka District police plan to continue this operation to ensure compliance with immigration laws.
