TVK Plans Third State Conference to Celebrate Electoral Success

The Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam is organizing its third state conference to celebrate electoral victories and strengthen its position.

Chennai, October 18 (Daily Kiran) : The Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) is in the early stages of planning its third state conference, with Tiruchi or Tirunelveli as potential venues. This event aims to celebrate the party’s electoral successes and reinforce its position under Chief Minister Vijay’s leadership.

Reports suggest that the conference is expected to take place early next year and may be dubbed the “Victory Conference.” However, the party has yet to officially announce the venue, dates, or detailed agenda for the event.

This upcoming gathering follows the recent victories in the Madurantakam and Dharapuram assembly by-elections, which have bolstered the party’s confidence after its success in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections earlier this year.

After establishing himself as a leading figure in Tamil cinema, Vijay launched TVK in 2024, hosting its inaugural state-level conference in Vikravandi. The event drew a large crowd, particularly from the youth, marking a significant entry into electoral politics.

Subsequently, the party held its second state conference in Madurai, part of its strategy to enhance its organizational presence across Tamil Nadu.

In just two years since its formation, TVK contested the assembly elections and achieved notable political success, leading to the formation of a government with Vijay as Chief Minister.

The third conference is anticipated to be a celebration of the party’s third anniversary, electoral victories, and Vijay’s birthday. Details regarding the arrangements and how these occasions will be incorporated into the program are still pending. While Tiruchi and Tirunelveli are being considered, no final decision on the venue has been made yet. Preparations are underway, but an official schedule has not yet been released.

Meanwhile, the party is also preparing for its annual event to honor students who excelled in the 10th and 12th-grade examinations. In recent years, TVK and its predecessor organization, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, have held similar award ceremonies at the district level.

This year’s award distribution is expected to occur soon, with district secretaries already initiating organizational tasks. Recognizing students provides the party with another opportunity to connect with youth and their families, especially as it gears up for its next major event at the state level. Further details about both events are still awaited.
