Ajay Rai declares his intent to contest elections from Pindra, emphasizing his deep-rooted connection to the community.

Varanasi, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : Congress leader and former state president Ajay Rai has officially announced his candidacy for the upcoming assembly elections from the Pindra constituency. Speaking at the Nakteshwari Devi Temple in Varanasi on October 17, he emphasized his nearly 30-year connection with the area, describing it as his home and family.
Rai highlighted the importance of local relationships, stating that the community is integral to his electoral journey. He views himself as a family member working alongside the people of Pindra.
After paying homage at the temple, Rai shared that he seeks blessings from the goddess before embarking on any significant endeavor. During the auspicious month of Navratri, he reaffirmed his commitment to the electoral process, stating that he has always stood by the people of Pindra in their joys and sorrows.
According to Rai, the residents of Pindra are like family to him. He acknowledged the hard work of local supporters, asserting that the entire Pindra community participates in the electoral process. “I am merely a facilitator and a family member,” he stated, reiterating his deep ties to the area and his intention to remain connected with the community.
When asked about preparations for the upcoming elections, Rai expressed his resolve to start the campaign after receiving blessings from the goddess during Navratri. He is confident that his fellow community members will continue to support him robustly. Rai emphasized that his relationship with the people of Pindra extends far beyond the electoral period, describing it as an enduring bond with his own family.
In response to recent comments from the Chief Minister regarding “mafia raj,” Rai criticized the BJP, alleging that individuals with mafia connections have infiltrated the party. His remarks raise questions about the BJP’s role in the ongoing discourse surrounding organized crime.
