Trump Promises $5,000 Payments to Americans if Republicans Retain Congress

Donald Trump pledges $5,000 to every American if Republicans control Congress, using tariff revenue to fund the payments.

Wasilla, October 14 (Daily Kiran) : Former President Donald Trump has made a bold promise to American citizens. At a mid-term rally in Wasilla, Alaska, he declared that if Republicans maintain control of both houses of Congress, every adult American will receive $5,000. Trump stated that the funding for this initiative would come from tariff revenues.

“If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the Senate, I will give $5,000 to every adult citizen in America,” Trump said. He emphasized that only Republicans could deliver such a plan, claiming, “We have a lot of money coming in. This money is from tariffs.”

He referred to the proposed payment as the “Trump Dividend” and specified that recipients would need to spend the money within the United States.

However, Trump did not provide details on how or when these payments would be distributed, nor did he address the potential costs involved. Such payments would require congressional approval.

During his speech, Trump warned that a Democratic victory could lead to an economic downturn reminiscent of the Great Depression of 1929. He was campaigning for Republican Senator Dan Sullivan just three weeks before the elections on November 3.

Trump also criticized Democratic candidate Mary Peltola, labeling her as “No-Show Mary.” Early voting is set to begin on October 19.

On international issues, Trump assured that Iran would not acquire nuclear weapons and predicted that the conflict would soon come to an end, leading to a decrease in prices. He claimed, “We have opened up the Straits. Believe it or not, we are now producing more oil than before the war.”

Trump also addressed a legal matter involving two diesel mechanics from Anchorage, signing a pardon for them after they were found guilty of violating the Clean Air Act by altering vehicle emission control systems. He expressed outrage that they could face ten years in prison for repairing an engine.

In his remarks, Trump targeted Canada, accusing it of having taken advantage of the U.S. for years, and criticized Democrats for allowing millions to enter the country without evidence to support his claims.

During the rally, Brendan Carr, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, announced that the commission would vote on an additional $162 million investment to expand high-speed internet access in Alaska.

Trump’s visit to Alaska is part of a two-day campaign trip that includes stops in Nevada, Arizona, and Montana. Fuel prices have become a significant issue in the campaign, particularly amid rising tensions in the Gulf region affecting oil markets.
