Trump Claims Irans Military Power Weakened, Gulf Nations Unite Against Tehran

Washington, March 15: President Donald Trump has asserted that the United States has significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities. He stated that this conflict has brought Gulf nations closer to Washington, leading local governments to unite more against Tehran.

In an interview with Fox News Radio’s Brian Kilmeade, Trump claimed that U.S. operations have inflicted heavy damage on Iran’s missile and drone capabilities. He stated, “We are destroying them. We have obliterated most of their missiles. Many of their drones have been destroyed, along with several manufacturing areas where they produced these weapons.”

He further emphasized, “We are attacking them as fiercely as anyone has since World War II.” Trump noted that the escalating conflict has strengthened America’s relationships with Gulf countries, as many nations in the region have faced attacks during this crisis.

The U.S. President remarked, “We are in a very strong position. Our relationships and unity are tremendous. I spoke to most of them today.” According to Trump, some Gulf nations initially tried to remain neutral but joined the fight after attacks linked to Iran.

He added, “They had to endure attacks, which no one expected. They were initially trying to stay away and remain neutral.” Trump claimed that Iran had grand ambitions in the region, and the purpose of U.S. actions was to prevent Tehran from dominating the Middle East.

He alleged that Iran aimed to take control of the entire region. “If we hadn’t stopped them with B-2 bombers, they would have succeeded.” The President also claimed that Iran’s armed forces have suffered severe losses during the conflict.

In the interview, Trump stated that Iran’s navy and air force have been decimated, and their first and second leaderships have been eliminated. “Now, their third leadership is in trouble,” he noted, adding that the campaign has progressed faster than expected.

Trump mentioned that the U.S. is ahead of schedule. “We had no idea we would be this far along.” He reported a rapid decline in Iranian missile attacks due to U.S. operations, claiming, “We have shot down about 90 percent of their missiles.”

When asked about shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical energy routes, Trump stated that the U.S. could escort oil tankers if necessary. He clarified that the current focus of U.S. operations is to dismantle Iran’s missile and drone infrastructure rather than securing uranium stockpiles.

Regarding the seizure of uranium, he said, “No, absolutely not, and we are not focusing on that. Right now, we are concentrating on destroying their missiles and drones.”

The President also suggested that Iran’s weakening position could reshape regional diplomacy, potentially expanding the Abraham Accords. When asked if Gulf nations might be closer to normalizing relations with Israel, he replied, “This has made the process much easier.”

It is noteworthy that millions of migrant workers reside in the Gulf region, including a significant Indian community in countries like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain. This makes regional stability a major concern for several Asian economies reliant on energy flows from the Middle East.
