Congress Celebrates Rajya Sabha Victory in Haryana, Accuses BJP of Horse Trading

New Delhi, March 18: Congress leaders expressed their joy over the party’s victory in the Rajya Sabha elections in Haryana, calling it a triumph for democracy. They also accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of engaging in horse trading, a claim the BJP has vehemently denied.

Congress MP Kumari Selja reacted to the party’s success, congratulating the legislators who played a crucial role in electing the Congress candidate. She stated that the party had confidence in its victory and approached the elections with that belief.

Meanwhile, Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda described the win as a victory for the people of Haryana. He emphasized that today is a significant day for the citizens, who all deserve congratulations. Hooda leveled serious allegations against the BJP, claiming that various unethical tactics were employed to secure the Rajya Sabha seat, stating that such politics had never been witnessed before.

He asserted that strategies involving manipulation, coercion, and division were used, but Congress thwarted the attempts at buying votes. Hooda also alleged that when these efforts failed, attempts were made to undermine democracy by declaring four legitimate votes of Congress as invalid. He stated that this struggle would not end here, and the party would take this issue to the public for serious consideration.

On the other hand, BJP MP Darshan Singh dismissed Congress’s allegations as baseless. He argued that the opposition lacks substantial issues, which leads them to make such claims. He expressed confidence that the BJP’s strong organization, cadre, and the leadership of PM Modi are continuously gaining public trust. Singh remarked that this victory is pivotal for the future, asserting that under PM Modi’s leadership, the country is progressing towards the goal of a developed India by 2027.

Additionally, political tensions have escalated following Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge’s remarks about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). In response, Darshan Singh stated that Kharge lacks adequate knowledge about the RSS, describing it as a dedicated organization with a level of commitment unmatched by any other.
