
Chatra, June 7: A tragic road accident in the Simaria police station area of Chatra district, Jharkhand, resulted in the deaths of two young men on Sunday. According to police reports, the incident occurred near Jabda village.
The victims have been identified as Ganesh Kumar and Basant Kumar, both residents of Duduwan village. The two friends were returning home on a motorcycle after shopping at the market. It was reported that their Pulsar bike lost balance due to heavy vehicles parked along the roadside near Jabda, leading to a severe crash. The impact was so intense that both young men died at the scene.
Upon receiving the news, the Simaria police arrived promptly and took the bodies into custody for post-mortem examinations at Chatra Sadar Hospital. The police are currently investigating the incident to determine the causes of the accident. The news of the tragedy has cast a pall of grief over Duduwan village.
Local residents described the two young men as friendly and well-liked, and their untimely deaths have created a somber atmosphere in the community. Family members and villagers gathered at the hospital and in the village to mourn their loss. Following the incident, local residents have demanded strict action against heavy vehicles parked illegally along the roadside.
They expressed concerns that the prolonged presence of trucks and other heavy vehicles on main roads poses a significant risk of accidents. Villagers claim that similar incidents have occurred in the past due to such vehicles. They are urging the administration to take effective measures for road safety and ensure action against drivers and owners who violate regulations.
