Cuttack, March 16: A devastating fire at the Trauma Care ICU of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack has resulted in the deaths of ten individuals. The atmosphere is filled with sorrow as families of the victims mourn their loss.

One woman, who was at the hospital with her daughter, recounted her harrowing experience. “My daughter was in the ICU, and I was waiting outside. I then asked my daughter-in-law to go inside. Suddenly, I heard a woman shouting in Hindi from within the ICU. I couldn’t understand her clearly at first. Initially, I thought someone was in trouble. But soon, I noticed that the ICU room was filled with smoke,” she said.
