BJP Launches Service Commitment Campaign to Engage Youth in Innovation and Service

New Delhi, August 22: Vinod Tawde, the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), addressed the media on Saturday, sharing key insights from the first meeting of the newly formed national office bearers and a workshop related to the ‘Service Commitment Campaign.’

Tawde announced that from September 17 to October 17, a nationwide ‘Service Commitment Campaign’ will be launched. This initiative aims to promote various service activities, connect beneficiaries with government schemes, and engage youth in service and innovation.

He noted that the first meeting of the national office bearers took place after the formation of the new BJP team. Following this, a workshop was held for state presidents, organizational secretaries, and a selected team of seven to eight workers from each state for the campaign. The party is making extensive preparations to effectively reach the grassroots level with this initiative.

The BJP organizes a ‘Service Fortnight’ every year on September 17, coinciding with the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His commitment to service has been a hallmark of his public life. This year marks a special occasion, as October 7 will celebrate 25 years since Modi took the oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. In light of this, the BJP has decided to run a month-long ‘Service Commitment Campaign’ across the country.

During the campaign, various programs will be organized to spread Prime Minister Modi’s spirit of service among the public. The campaign will honor mothers and sisters working in Anganwadi centers and will include ‘Maatru Samvaad’ programs. While the government formulates plans, Anganwadi workers play a crucial role in child nutrition and care at the grassroots level. BJP workers will reach out to over 1.4 million Anganwadi centers nationwide to honor these dedicated workers.

Tawde also announced a significant initiative called ‘My Contribution to Service.’ This program will encourage youth and citizens to create reels showcasing their service activities during the campaign, inspiring others. Service activities like cleanliness drives, tree planting, and identifying TB patients for government assistance will be creatively highlighted. These reels will be shared at district and state levels to motivate more people to engage in service work.

Additionally, the ‘Service Bridge Campaign’ will ensure that no eligible person misses out on the welfare schemes initiated during Prime Minister Modi’s tenure. Camps will be set up at the block level for 15 days, allowing eligible individuals to fill out necessary forms and connect with schemes like Ayushman Bharat or the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.

To encourage youth talent and innovation, a ‘National Innovation Challenge’ will also be held. This initiative will familiarize youth with local issues and provide them an opportunity to propose solutions through research and innovation. The competition will take place at block, district, and state levels, fostering creative and innovative solutions to local problems.

Tawde concluded by stating that the national workshop has been successfully completed. State-level workshops will be held until August 31, followed by district and block-level workshops in the next five to seven days. The ‘Service Commitment Campaign’ will run from September 17 to October 17, with BJP workers striving to successfully engage more people in service activities at the booth level across the country.
