Tragic Collision in Andhra Pradesh Claims Three Lives

Amaravati, March 22: A tragic accident in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left four others injured, as reported by local police on Sunday.

The collision occurred on the national highway in the Yernagudem area of Devarapalli Mandal. A car traveling from Rajamahendravaram to Vijayawada lost control, crashed into a road divider, and subsequently collided with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The impact was devastating, leading to the immediate death of three people at the scene.

Emergency responders arrived promptly, transporting the injured to a hospital in Gopalapuram. The bodies of the deceased have been sent to a government hospital for post-mortem examinations. Authorities suspect that excessive speed may have contributed to the car losing control, prompting an investigation into the incident.

In a separate incident, tensions flared on the Dornala-Srisailam ghat road in Kurnool district when passengers from a Karnataka bus allegedly assaulted the driver of an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation bus after a dispute over right of way.

The altercation began when the Andhra bus failed to yield to the Karnataka vehicle. The Karnataka bus driver pursued the Andhra bus, forcing it to stop and taking the driver and several passengers into their vehicle.

Police intervened upon receiving reports of the incident, stopping the Karnataka bus near the Dornala checkpoint and rescuing the Andhra bus driver. Authorities have detained the Karnataka bus driver and several passengers, launching an investigation into the matter.

Additionally, a collision occurred on the Outer Ring Road in Hyderabad, where a car crashed into a truck, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. This incident took place near the Rajendranagar police station area.
