
Ranchi, June 10: A tragic bus accident in Pakur district of Jharkhand on Wednesday resulted in the deaths of two individuals, with over 35 others sustaining injuries. Several of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
The incident occurred near the village of Singarsi Malipada in the Amrapada police station area. According to police reports, the bus was returning from the Sundarpahari region of Godda district, carrying wedding guests. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn off the road.
Witnesses stated that the accident happened so suddenly that passengers had no time to brace themselves. Chaos erupted as the bus flipped, with many passengers trapped inside. The deceased were identified as Alen Murmu and Rajesh Tudu, both residents of the Pariyardaha village in the Maheshpur police station area of Pakur district.
Upon hearing the news, a wave of grief swept through the families of the victims. Local villagers rushed to the scene in large numbers. They collaborated with the police to conduct a rescue operation, helping to free the trapped passengers. The injured were subsequently transported to various hospitals in Amrapada and nearby areas using ambulances and other vehicles.
Medical professionals reported that many of the injured suffered serious injuries, and some are being prepared for transfer to higher medical centers for advanced treatment. The police have sent both bodies for post-mortem examinations and have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident. Preliminary inquiries suggest that the bus overturned due to loss of control, although police are examining all aspects of the incident.
