Beijing, October 13 (Daily Kiran): TP-Link has officially launched two new Wi-Fi 7 BE7200 routers, the TL-7DR7270 and TL-7DR7290, in China, offering cutting-edge wireless connectivity with theoretical speeds of up to 7.14Gbps. The TL-7DR7270 is priced at ¥399 (approx. $56), while the premium TL-7DR7290 model retails at ¥599 (approx. $84).

High-Speed Wi-Fi 7 Connectivity

Both routers support the latest Wi-Fi 7 standards, bringing advanced features like 4K QAM, MRU (Multi-Resource Unit), MLO (Multi-Link Operation), and Preamble Puncture. These technologies enhance throughput, reduce latency, and improve network stability — ideal for high-bandwidth activities such as 4K streaming, gaming, and smart home setups.

AI Pixel Antenna System for Better Coverage

TP-Link’s proprietary AI-based Pixel Antenna design is a key highlight of both models. Using the company’s algorithmic simulation platform, the routers test billions of antenna configurations to automatically select the most efficient layout, resulting in improved signal strength and wall penetration.

The TL-7DR7270 features five external and five internal FEMs (Front-End Modules), providing coverage of up to 150 square meters, while the TL-7DR7290 doubles that with ten external FEMs, supporting coverage up to 200 square meters.

Performance and Connectivity

Mesh Networking and IoT Integration

Both routers support TP-Link’s EasyMesh system for seamless multi-router networking, expanding Wi-Fi coverage without dead zones. They also include one-touch IoT pairing, allowing users to easily connect smart home devices like locks, cameras, and robot vacuums.

Gaming and Parental Controls

The routers come equipped with four built-in gaming acceleratorsThunder Gaming, Youbangbang, Qiyou, and NetEase UU — that optimize game traffic through a dedicated low-latency port. Users can also access comprehensive parental controls to manage screen time, app access, and browsing restrictions.

Enterprise and Remote Work Support

For professional use, both models support VPN protocols (IPSec, PPTP, L2TP), SD-WAN, and PPPoE server functions, catering to small business and remote work requirements.

Competition in Wi-Fi 7 Segment

TP-Link’s launch follows recent Wi-Fi 7 router introductions from competitors:

  • Xiaomi BE10000 Pro – featuring AI dual 10G ports and HyperOS integration.

  • ZTE BE3600 Pro – equipped with AI antennas, Mesh networking, and gaming boost capabilities.

With the TL-7DR7270 and TL-7DR7290, TP-Link strengthens its position in the next-gen Wi-Fi 7 router market, combining AI-driven design, high-speed connectivity, and advanced networking features for both gamers and professionals.
