Kharagpur, April 19: Naveen Kumar Jindal, former head of Delhi media for the BJP, has raised serious concerns regarding law and order in West Bengal. He stated that the situation in the state is deteriorating, posing a significant threat to public safety. Jindal accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of attempting to incite communal violence through Humayun Kabir.
He claimed that communal politics is on the rise in West Bengal, directly blaming the TMC and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s government. According to him, law and order have virtually collapsed, allowing criminals to operate freely. The conditions in Murshidabad have worsened to the point where residents feel compelled to flee. He noted that the Hindu community is facing pressure and fear, forcing many to abandon their homes, likening the situation to the exodus from Kashmir.
Jindal also expressed concern over rising crimes against women in the state, highlighting that appropriate actions are often not taken in many cases. He warned that if law and order are not strengthened promptly, the situation could further deteriorate.
In his statement, he emphasized the need for a strong government in West Bengal that operates impartially and ensures the safety of all communities. He insisted that the state requires a government that represents the entire society, not just one faction.
Jindal accused Humayun Kabir of receiving support from the TMC, alleging that he is deliberately spreading communal tensions, which is damaging the state’s atmosphere. He urged that such situations should not be exploited for political gain.
