Jaipur, October 17 (Daily Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested three employees of the Public Works Department (PWD) in Lalsoat, Dausa district, for allegedly accepting a ₹6,000 bribe in exchange for issuing a D-Class contractor licence.

Those arrested include Assistant Administrative Officer Samundra Singh, Fourth Grade Employee (Contractual) Vishnu Kumar Saini, and Computer Operator (Private) Hansraj. They were caught red-handed while accepting the bribe during a trap operation carried out by the ACB Dausa unit under the direction of the ACB Headquarters.
According to Additional Director General of Police (ACB) Smita Srivastava, a complaint was filed on October 15, 2025, alleging that the accused were demanding ₹5,000 on behalf of the Executive Engineer and ₹2,500 separately for processing the licence application. The complainant stated that the officials were harassing him for the payment.
Acting on the complaint, the ACB, under the supervision of DIG Jaipur Range Rajesh Singh and led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Naval Kishore, conducted a verification on October 16, 2025, which confirmed the bribe demand. During the trap operation held on October 17, Samundra Singh accepted ₹3,500 from the complainant and handed it over to Vishnu Kumar Saini, while Hansraj accepted ₹2,500 and kept it in his trouser pocket.
The ACB team recovered the entire ₹6,000 bribe amount and arrested all three accused on the spot.
The ACB has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further investigation is currently underway.
