Concerns Raised Over Mumbais Law and Order After Shooting Incident Involving Tiger Shroff

The Congress party criticizes the Maharashtra government following a shooting incident involving actor Tiger Shroff, raising law and order concerns.

Mumbai, October 18 (Daily Kiran) : Concerns about law and order in Mumbai have intensified following a shooting incident involving actor Tiger Shroff. The Congress party has launched a sharp attack on the state government, questioning the effectiveness of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s administration.

Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant expressed alarm over the deteriorating security situation in the city. He referenced the recent murder of Baba Siddiqui, gunfire outside actor Salman Khan’s residence, and threats faced by several actors and producers.

In a post on social media platform X, Sawant claimed that law enforcement in Mumbai has completely failed. He sarcastically remarked that it was once said, “Maharashtra has become Bihar,” but now the situation has worsened to the point where “Bihar was better.”

He condemned the government for creating an environment where criminals operate with impunity.

Additionally, Prof. Varsha Eknath Gaikwad, a Congress MP and president of the Mumbai Regional Congress Committee, echoed these sentiments. She highlighted the sequence of violent incidents, stating, “If such events continue in the economic capital of the country, who is responsible for the safety of Mumbai’s residents?”

Reports indicate that another individual was injured in the shooting incident involving Shroff. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and police are actively searching for the perpetrators. Gaikwad questioned whether criminals still fear the law, demanding accountability from the government and the Home Department regarding public safety in Mumbai.
