Beijing, August 9: Thailand’s National Tourism Bureau chief, Thapeni Kiatfaibul, stated in an interview on August 8 that China is a good neighbor to Thailand. The country places significant importance on welcoming tourists from around the globe, especially from China.
Recently, a public event involving Chinese tourists took place during a cultural and sports program in Thailand. Consequently, the Chinese embassy issued a warning to tourists about participating in these events.
Thapeni emphasized the need for an honest, safe, standardized, and improved tourism experience for Chinese visitors. The National Tourism Bureau is attentive to this incident and is committed to ensuring thorough preparations and guarantees at various levels.
According to Thapeni, data shows that from the beginning of this year until August, the number of Chinese travelers visiting Thailand has increased by approximately 20% compared to the same period last year. To meet the growing demand from the Chinese tourism market, Thailand’s tourism bureau must continuously strive to enhance service quality for these visitors.
