Hyderabad, May 19: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has ordered the expedited completion of the land acquisition process for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project.
During a meeting with ministers and legislators from the former Mahbubnagar district at MCRHRD, the Chief Minister also directed officials to accelerate land acquisition for other projects in the area.
He assured that the necessary funds for this land acquisition would be made available immediately. The Chief Minister instructed district ministers to coordinate with local officials to review irrigation projects and monitor their progress closely.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), measures will be taken to ensure prompt payment of funds for land acquisition for projects in the district without delay. He indicated that the government is prepared to settle pending bills.
Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy stated earlier this month that the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme is expected to be completed by December 2027. He also announced that all pending irrigation projects in the former Mahbubnagar district would be completed swiftly.
Meanwhile, a cabinet meeting is scheduled for May 21 at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat. The Chief Secretary informed all special chief secretaries, principal secretaries, and secretaries that the 33rd cabinet meeting will take place at 3 PM in the cabinet meeting room at the Secretariat. They were requested to send formally approved proposals for cabinet consideration and to be present at headquarters during the meeting.
