London, April 26: TCL is preparing to launch the A400 Pro NXTVISION TV in Europe, following its initial introduction in China in late 2025. This model is designed to compete with lifestyle TVs like Samsung’s The Frame, emphasizing both aesthetics and display quality.
The A400 Pro will be available in a variety of sizes: 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch, and 98-inch. Additionally, a smaller 43-inch version is confirmed for the UK market. Pricing starts at £599 for the 43-inch model, with the 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch variants priced at £899, £1,099, and £1,399, respectively. TCL has yet to announce the sales start date or the specific European markets that will receive the TV first.
The design features a light walnut-textured frame, crafted using a single-piece bending technique that eliminates visible joints for a sleek appearance. The screen boasts a matte canvas finish, which minimizes glare and gives it a texture reminiscent of a painting rather than a typical TV. The profile remains slim across all sizes, with models up to 75 inches measuring just 3.99 cm thick, while the 85-inch and 98-inch versions are slightly thicker at 4.15 cm and 4.45 cm.
In terms of display technology, the A400 Pro utilizes a QD Mini LED panel equipped with local dimming and high brightness control. It employs Quantum Dot Pro materials, achieving 157 percent coverage of the BT.709 color gamut. TCL claims a Delta E value below 0.99, ensuring accurate color reproduction.
The panel supports 4K resolution with a native refresh rate of 144Hz, and with DLG mode, it can reach up to 288Hz. Gaming features include Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. The TV is powered by TCL’s TSR AI image engine, which manages scene detection, backlight control, and motion adjustments.
Art Mode enhances the user experience by providing access to over 100 artworks from museums. Users can display these as still images or with subtle motion effects. An AI tool is also available for creating custom artwork by selecting styles and prompts.
Audio performance is managed by an Onkyo Hi-Fi speaker system with a side-firing configuration, optimized for use even when the TV is mounted close to a wall. It supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for an immersive sound experience.
For connectivity, the A400 Pro includes four HDMI 2.1 ports, USB 3.0, and Wi-Fi 6. It also supports NAS protocols such as FTP, SMB, and NFS. Most models are equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
