New Delhi, 17 August (Kiran News). Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce a major surprise in the Indian market with the launch of its iconic Safari SUV in a brand-new electric avatar. The Tata Safari EV is set to feature updated design language, more advanced features, and improved battery performance, making it a strong contender in the large electric SUV segment.

Bold New Design for Tata Safari EV

The upcoming Tata Safari EV will maintain the signature large and bold look of the original Safari, but with a modern, electric-style twist. The front sports a closed grille, new LED light bar, and a sturdy bumper. Inside, the SUV is expected to offer a new cabin theme, premium leather seat finish, and options for both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations, depending on the variant.

Battery and Performance

While official battery specifications are yet to be announced, industry experts expect the Tata Safari EV to offer a similar battery setup to the Tata Harrier EV, with a claimed range of up to 500 km on a single charge. This is designed to meet the needs of long-distance travelers seeking both performance and efficiency.

Feature-Rich Cabin

The Tata Safari EV will come equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting options, multiple USB-C charging sockets for rear passengers, and AC vents for added comfort.

Advanced Safety Features

For safety, the Tata Safari EV is expected to offer 7 airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, ABS with EBD, hill hold and hill start assist, reverse parking sensors and camera, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technology.

Expected Price and Launch Date

The Tata Safari EV is anticipated to launch in India soon, with prices expected to start around ₹32 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors has not yet provided official details regarding the launch date or final pricing.
