Tarun Chugh Questions Bhagwant Manns Moral Authority as Punjab CM

New Delhi, June 17: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has responded to the Akal Takht’s designation of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann as ‘anti-Sikh.’ In an interview with a news agency on Wednesday, he stated that anyone labeled ‘anti-Sikh’ by the highest institution of Sikhism has no moral right to remain in the position of Chief Minister. He urged Mann to resign immediately.

Chugh also described a controversial video as misleading, claiming it was generated by AI, which hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community. He emphasized that this is why Bhagwant Mann is facing backlash today, despite two forensic laboratories confirming the video’s authenticity. Nevertheless, Mann has questioned its credibility.

According to Chugh, Mann’s actions have misled Sikhs worldwide, causing significant distress within the community. He asserted that the people of Punjab will not tolerate arrogance and deceit. Chugh demanded that Mann resign from his position and that the entire cabinet seek forgiveness from the Akal Takht.

He reiterated that a person deemed ‘anti-Sikh’ by the community’s highest authority has lost the right to lead. Without delay, Mann should step down, as he is no longer acceptable to the people of Punjab. Chugh concluded by stating that Mann has attempted to mislead the global Sikh community.
