Mumbai, August 9: Actress Surbhi Chandna has expressed her views on the rising trend of egg freezing among female celebrities.
In a special conversation, Surbhi stated that while she supports women who choose to freeze their eggs, she personally does not feel the need to do so. She believes in allowing things to unfold naturally.
When asked about the trend, the ‘Naagin’ actress referenced her sister, who became a mother at 39 without any medical assistance. Surbhi shared, “My sister gave birth to a son at 39. He is now two years old, and it was a normal delivery. I believe in this approach. Those who find it necessary to freeze their eggs are making a good choice, but as my gynecologist advised, doing so may lead to significant hormonal imbalances.”
She added, “I think every child comes into this world with their own destiny. I don’t know what will happen, but if my sister, who travels extensively for work and faces a lot of stress, can give birth naturally, then I also want to follow the natural route.”
Surbhi admitted that she still feels a bit apprehensive about the hormonal imbalances associated with the egg freezing process. She remarked, “I don’t know when we will plan for it, but it will happen at the right time. Whenever it does, it will be a gift from God.”
On the work front, Surbhi has made her debut as a producer with the new Balaji Digital show ‘Ishq Dam Aur Idli Rasam’ under her home banner, ‘Feel Good Studios.’
