
New Delhi, August 15: Senior leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal and former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, Sukhbir Singh Badal, recently took to Facebook to express his gratitude towards Guru Sahib following a violent attack. He emphasized that Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj has always been a guiding force in his life during challenging times.
In his post, Badal stated, “I am indebted to Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, who has provided me shelter during every trial in my life. Recently, I faced a life-threatening attack at the holy site of Guru Ram Das Ji. Yet again, Guru Maharaj granted me life.”
He clarified that, thanks to the blessings of Guru Sahib, he is free from any feelings of hatred. “My heart is filled only with humility and service. Like every devotee of Nanak, I will live by the principle of ‘Brotherhood and Love’,” he added. Badal reaffirmed his commitment to serving under the shadow of Guru Maharaj’s grace.
He also expressed gratitude to the workers, leaders, and supporters of the Shiromani Akali Dal, stating that every moment of his life is dedicated to repaying the love and blessings received from the community. He concluded with a prayer for Guru Sahib to continue showering kindness upon everyone.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis responded to the incident, praising the police officer on duty at the time of the attack. On the social media platform X, Fadnavis commended PI Santosh Kendra for his bravery and quick action in ensuring the safety of Sukhbir Singh Badal during the attack.
Fadnavis remarked, “The swift action taken by PI Santosh Kendra, risking his life, truly reflects the courage and dedication of the Maharashtra police.” He encouraged continued vigilance and service, stating, “Well done! Keep it up, PI Santosh Kendra.”
