Subhash Ghai Shares Dilip Kumar’s Prediction About Anupam Kher

Mumbai, 3 January. Filmmaker and director Subhash Ghai remains connected with his fans through social media, often sharing memories, amusing anecdotes, and special moments that endear him to audiences. Recently, he posted a collage of posters from many films starring actor Anupam Kher and recounted an old story from the set of the film ‘Karma’.

In his Instagram post, Subhash Ghai wrote that he clearly remembers shooting the first scene with cinema legend Dilip Kumar and Anupam Kher on the set of his 1984 film ‘Karma’. In that scene, Anupam Kher played the role of Dr. Dang, walking alongside Dilip Kumar. During the shoot, Dilip Kumar told Subhash Ghai, “This boy is a good actor and will go very far.”

Referring to Anupam Kher’s 550th film, Subhash Ghai added, “Now Anupam Kher has started shooting for his 550th film ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’ and they are celebrating on set. I feel very proud of his versatility, humanity, and his hunger to do good work beyond money.”

The filmmaker concluded his post with a message for Anupam Kher: “My friend, keep climbing the ladder of success like this, keep moving forward and always stay happy. Love you.”

Anupam Kher also responded to Subhash Ghai’s post, saying, “Thank you, Subhash ji! Your contribution to my career is invaluable. My heart is full of gratitude!”

The film ‘Karma’ was released in 1986, featuring Dilip Kumar in the lead role and Anupam Kher as the memorable villain Dr. Dang. This film made Anupam Kher an overnight star. His career has now spanned over four decades. After arriving in Mumbai in 1981, he is about to complete 550 films.
