
Tokyo, April 5: Nagma Malik, India’s Ambassador to Japan, met with Yamanashi Governor Kotaro Nagasaki on Sunday. They discussed ways to enhance the partnership between the two nations.
During her visit to Yamanashi, Malik also participated in the ‘Shingen-ko’ festival.
The Indian Embassy in Japan shared on the social media platform ‘X’, “Ambassador Nagma M. Malik visited Yamanashi and met with Governor Kotaro Nagasaki. They discussed strengthening the India-Japan partnership, particularly the deep ties with Yamanashi.”
The post further noted, “During her visit to Yamanashi, the ambassador attended the ‘Shingen-ko’ festival, the largest samurai festival in the world, held in the city of Kofu.”
Earlier, on March 26, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi during the G7 Foreign Ministers’ meeting in France.
On March 6, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with Sadamasa O, a special advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan, to discuss strengthening defense technology and economic security.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal posted on ‘X’, “Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with Sadamasa O, special advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan. They exchanged useful insights on strengthening the pillars of defense technology and economic security in the India-Japan special strategic and global partnership.”
On February 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated his Japanese counterpart Sanae Takaichi on her victory in the House of Representatives election in Japan.
