New Delhi, 30 July  — England captain Ben Stokes and India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja have made significant strides in the ICC Men’s Test Rankings following their performances in the recently concluded fourth Test between England and India.

Stokes Climbs to No. 3 Among Test All-Rounders

Ben Stokes has jumped three spots to secure the third position in the Test all-rounder rankings, marking his best ranking since December 2022. He impressed with a 141-run knock and five wickets in the first innings. This performance also saw him climb eight spots to 34th among batters and reach 42nd in the bowling rankings.

Jadeja Strengthens Hold at the Top

Ravindra Jadeja further solidified his dominance at the top of the Test all-rounder rankings with an unbeaten 107-run innings and four wickets. With 422 rating points, he now leads Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan by 117 points. Jadeja also moved up five places to 29th among batters and one spot to 14th among bowlers.

Root Maintains Lead, Gains for Duckett and Pope

England’s Joe Root scored a brilliant 150 at Old Trafford, maintaining his lead over second-placed Kane Williamson by 37 points in the batting rankings. Opener Ben Duckett rose five spots to 10th, Zak Crawley climbed two places to 43rd, and Ollie Pope moved up one position to 24th.

India’s Washington Sundar, who partnered with Jadeja for an unbeaten 203-run stand and scored 101*, jumped eight spots to 65th in the batting rankings. He also took two wickets and advanced eight places to joint 13th in the all-rounder rankings.

Gains for Archer and Woakes

Fast bowler Jofra Archer, making his Test return after four years, took three wickets and surged 38 spots to reach 63rd in the bowling rankings. Chris Woakes also moved up one position to 23rd.

T20 Rankings Shake-Up: Abhishek Sharma Claims Top Spot

Young Indian batter Abhishek Sharma has claimed the No. 1 position in the ICC T20 International batting rankings for the first time. Australia’s Travis Head, who had held the top spot for a year, slipped in the rankings after missing the West Indies series.

Australia’s Josh Inglis scored 172 runs against the West Indies, jumping six spots to 9th. Tim David rose 12 places to 18th, while Cameron Green made a massive leap of 64 places to reach a career-best 24th. West Indies’ Brandon King climbed nine positions to joint 21st.

In the T20 bowling rankings, the top seven positions remain unchanged. New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy holds the top spot, while Australia’s Nathan Ellis climbed seven spots to eighth.
