Rajkot, July 29: The multi-starrer adventure film ‘Get Set Go’ is making waves in the Gujarati film industry even before its release. The film’s team has set a commendable example that has garnered widespread appreciation.
In a remarkable move, the team decided to redirect their promotional budget to assist those affected by the floods in Gujarat. They believe that helping those impacted by this natural disaster is more crucial than promoting the film at this time.
Actor Deepak Tijori shared details about this initiative. Speaking to reporters, he said, “We met with Rajkot Collector Omprakash Singh. Initially, the team planned a large-scale promotion across Gujarat, with a dedicated budget for it. However, considering the damage caused by the rains and floods, we changed our approach. We decided to allocate the promotional expenses directly to aid the flood-affected and needy individuals. While we are still promoting the film, our main focus and perspective have completely shifted.”
Team member Bhaumik Sampat also provided insights into this initiative. He stated, “Our film is set to release in theaters on August 7. We came to meet the collector in this regard. The amount we had set aside for promotion has now been donated to help those in need. We will continue to provide assistance as much as we can, both before and after the film’s release. I urge the public to step forward and help the victims during this challenging time.”
Actress and writer Jeenal Belani connected this decision to the film’s storyline. She explained, “Our Gujarati film ‘Get Set Go’ revolves around a group called ‘Chiranjeevi’ that helps those in need. When it was time for our film’s promotion, we realized that people needed our help more than ever. The core message of our film is to support the underprivileged. Since the film is based on this idea, we should also bring it to life in reality.”
‘Get Set Go’ is a multi-starrer adventure drama produced by Valmiki Pictures and Jalian Group, directed by Arnav Kumar. The film features a talented cast, including Deepak Tijori, Bhaumik Sampat, Jeenal Belani, Raunak Kamdar, Bhavya Gandhi, Om Bhatt, Sharad Sharma, Dharmendra Gohil, Muni Jha, and Asmit Joshi.
