NDA Leaders Condemn Neha Boras Allegations Against Temple Priests as Attack on Sanatan Tradition

Political leaders across India criticize Neha Boras allegations against temple priests, defending Hindu faith and traditions.

New Delhi, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : Neha Bora, president of the All India Students Association, has ignited political controversy with her recent allegations of sexual abuse against temple priests. Her comments have drawn sharp criticism from various political leaders across the country, including ministers from the Bihar government and members of the BJP and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra.

Bihar Minister Santosh Suman expressed strong objections to Bora’s statements, asserting that such views stem from her ideological upbringing. He emphasized that temples are sacred spaces for millions of Hindus, stating, “Over 100 crore people in our country view temples as a matter of faith. Attacking these places questions one’s mindset.” Suman further noted that while legal provisions exist for addressing any misconduct, generalizing accusations against the entire system is inappropriate.

In Mumbai, BJP member of the Legislative Council, Shrikant Bharati, labeled Bora as a Congress worker and demanded clarity from the party regarding her remarks. He questioned, “Does Congress believe that temple priests commit rape? This statement disrespects Hindus and our Sanatan traditions.” Bharati also challenged Bora, asking why she only targeted priests and not other religious leaders.

He reiterated that the Sanatan tradition has been a respected part of Indian culture for generations, and such statements are an affront to Hindus, warning that both Bora and Congress would face repercussions.

Shiv Sena spokesperson Anand Dubey echoed these sentiments, stating that Bora’s remarks directly attack temple priests. He criticized her for not addressing issues in other religious establishments, suggesting that her comments reflect a bias against Hindus, who he described as peaceful and compassionate.

Dubey further attacked left-wing ideologies, claiming they are influenced by foreign agendas and revealing their frustrations due to repeated electoral defeats. He lamented that such statements tarnish the rich heritage and culture of India, which has produced great figures dedicated to the nation’s service.

He concluded by defending the dedication of priests, who devote their lives to worship and service, and condemned the politicization of their roles for the sake of gaining a few votes.
