SP Party Criticizes UP Government for Biased Action Against Criminals

Lucknow, May 30: The Samajwadi Party has accused the Uttar Pradesh government of bias in its actions against criminals. They claim that the government is not acting based on the crimes committed but is instead considering the religion and caste of the offenders.

Samajwadi Party spokesperson Fakhrul Hasan Chand stated that the party’s stance is clear: goons and mafia are simply criminals, regardless of their religion or caste. He emphasized that such individuals instill fear and terror in society, harming innocent people. However, he argues that the current government is making decisions based on the religion of these criminals.

Chand pointed out that while the public is frightened and traders, farmers, and youth are distressed, the government is diverting attention from real issues by engaging in politics of religion and caste. He criticized the government for lacking solid responses to pressing issues like unemployment, inflation, and corruption, leading to divisive politics.

He also referenced Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath‘s recent statements regarding religious events and law enforcement, suggesting that such comments exacerbate social tensions. The spokesperson urged the government to shift focus from fear and strictness to development and law enforcement.

Regarding the NEET UG paper leak case, he noted that since the formation of the NTA, there have been multiple incidents of paper leaks, which are extremely serious. He asserted that merely filing responses is insufficient; strict action must be taken against the culprits. The future of the nation’s youth is at stake, which is very concerning.

Chand demanded that strict measures be taken against officials or individuals whose negligence or collusion leads to such incidents, to prevent future occurrences.
