
Panchkula, May 30: In a significant move towards enhancing healthcare and ensuring dignified living, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for nine major health projects worth ₹100 crore at a state-level event held in Panchkula on Friday.
The Chief Minister inaugurated 30 health institutions built at a cost of ₹22.29 crore and laid the foundation for 16 additional institutions costing ₹21.50 crore.
Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for a rest house at the district civil hospital in Sonipat, constructed at a cost of ₹6.45 crore.
He also launched the ‘Healthy Woman, Empowered Family’ clinics at 23 district hospitals, which will operate with an annual operational cost of ₹0.34 crore.
Expanding CT scan and MRI services under the public-private partnership (PPP) model, the Chief Minister inaugurated MRI facilities at district hospitals in Panipat and Kurukshetra, costing ₹12 crore. Furthermore, CT scan services were inaugurated at the sub-divisional hospital in Bahadurgarh and the district hospital in Dadri at a cost of ₹10 crore.
To ensure timely identification and treatment of heart diseases, tele-ECG services were launched at 600 health institutions with an annual cost of ₹3 crore.
Under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), health equipment worth over ₹24 crore, including anesthesia workstations, defibrillators, X-ray machines, Truenet machines, and ICU beds, were dedicated to the public.
Free dialysis facilities were also inaugurated at Maharishi Chyawan Medical College in Koryawas, Narnaul, and Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Medical College in Chhainsa, Faridabad, with an annual cost of ₹3.6 crore.
To provide branded medicines at affordable prices, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for Amrit pharmacies in 23 district hospitals at a cost of ₹1.73 crore.
Moreover, a special disaster management training program for 4,600 ASHA workers was initiated at a cost of ₹0.91 crore.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Saini emphasized the significance of the day, marking 12 years of dedicated public service under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
