Dang, March 20: In the rural areas of Gujarat’s Dang district, the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme has emerged as a beacon of hope for underprivileged families. This initiative is rapidly turning the dream of owning a concrete home into reality, significantly improving their living standards.
The government’s effort not only provides shelter to economically weaker sections but also offers them the chance to live a secure and dignified life.
Sonu Bhai Koleshe Bhai Dokiya, a resident of Jharan village in Dang district, exemplifies this transformation. A farmer by trade, Sonu Bhai applied for the scheme through the local panchayat. After completing the necessary documentation, he received financial assistance of ₹1,20,000 under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme. Additionally, he benefited from ₹21,710 under the MGNREGA program, making the construction of his home much easier.
With this financial support, Sonu Bhai was able to complete his concrete house on time. Now, his family enjoys a better life in a safe environment.
In an interview, he expressed that without this scheme, building a concrete house would have been impossible for him. He described the initiative as a blessing for the poor and extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sonu Bhai emphasized that the PM Housing Scheme has not only provided him with a home but has also added stability and respect to his life. He believes that this scheme is proving to be immensely beneficial for those in need, bringing about positive changes in the lives of people living in rural areas.
