Patna, March 27: Renowned singer Sona Mohapatra, celebrated for her powerful songs and candid style, recently visited the Bihar Museum in Patna. Her reflections on the experience captured public attention. She shared several photos on Instagram, highlighting the museum’s beauty and its historical treasures.

In her Instagram caption, Sona wrote, “Before my concert at Gandhi Maidan, I visited the Bihar Museum. It serves as a profound reminder of our true identity. The statue of the Didarganj Yakshini is stunning, radiant, and vibrant, crafted by our artists thousands of years ago. The intricate artworks from the Maurya and Gupta periods are equally magnificent. This place has preserved Indian imagination, art, and confidence for centuries.”

She further expressed her admiration for the unique statue of the Laughing Girl, stating, “I am thrilled that the museum staff gifted me a replica of this ancient heritage, which now adorns my home and brings me joy every day.”

Sona also praised the museum’s design, noting, “This museum was designed by a Japanese architecture firm, featuring clean lines, open spaces, and an amphitheater that inspires both contemplation and presentation. I thank those who diligently maintain this heritage.”

In her post, Sona expressed hope that similar beauty, cleanliness, and dignity would continue to be seen in Bihar and across India.
