Sixth Suspect Arrested in Ater Singh Bhardana Murder Case as Police Hunt for Fugitives

Police have detained a sixth suspect in the murder of former MLA Ater Singh Bhardana, searching across states for additional fugitives.

Bharatpur, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : Authorities in Bharatpur are intensifying their investigation into the murder of former MLA Ater Singh Bhardana. On October 17, police apprehended a sixth suspect named Mukesh for questioning, although he has not yet been identified as a primary suspect.

Reports indicate that police are searching for additional fugitives not only in Rajasthan but also in Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. Over 30 police teams are currently conducting raids across various locations.

The investigation was initiated following a complaint by Bhardana’s wife, Kamlesh Bhardana, who named 64 individuals in her report, along with an estimated 70 to 80 others. Mukesh is among those named, and police are looking to clarify his involvement in the murder. Further actions will depend on the findings that emerge during the inquiry.

Previously, police arrested five suspects in connection with the case. It has been suggested that Mukesh played a role in protests related to Bhardana’s lease, which may have led to conflicts between him and the former MLA, along with employees working on the lease.

The investigation is focusing on various aspects, including the crucial DVR footage from CCTV cameras installed at the lease site. This footage is expected to assist in identifying individuals involved in the incident and connecting the sequence of events. Reports indicate that the DVR is currently in the possession of Kamlesh Bhardana, and police hope it will yield significant leads.

Police officials have confirmed that efforts to capture the remaining suspects are ongoing. Raids are being conducted in multiple locations across Rajasthan, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh. Alongside questioning Mukesh, investigators are examining the roles of other suspects and gathering evidence tied to the case. The full scope of the murder and the involvement of all suspects will be revealed once the investigation is complete.
