She stated that creating music has become a challenge where artists must constantly prove themselves.
In an interview, Ghoshal remarked, “In today’s world, aspects like followers, views, streaming numbers, and social media algorithms divide an artist’s focus into many parts. When an artist starts to think about these metrics constantly, they may drift away from their true purpose. The real challenge in this digital age is to maintain focus.”
She expressed gratitude for her career’s beginnings, noting that there was no digital pressure at that time. “Back then, the foundation of music was the emotional connection between the listener and the artist. People appreciated songs based on their melody, lyrics, and emotion, not on views or likes. The true essence of music was in its soul, and artists thrived on that connection.”
Ghoshal further highlighted that platforms have provided artists with a vast stage. “Now, any singer or musician can easily reach audiences worldwide. This is a significant achievement, but it also brings the responsibility of continuously producing new and better work. Staying updated and connected with audiences has become crucial.”
She praised young artists, stating, “Today’s generation is hardworking and creative. Instead of imitating others, they strive to carve out their own identity. This is a positive change. Young artists draw inspiration from their surroundings, teachers, and legendary artists, but they adapt it in their unique way.”
