Shocking Murder in Noida: Man Killed Over Dispute of Just ₹1,500

Noida, February 26: A shocking murder case has emerged from Noida, specifically in Sector 64 of the Phase 3 police station area. A young man living on the footpath was allegedly killed by his acquaintance over a trivial dispute.

The argument, which began over a small sum of money, escalated to a tragic end. The accused reportedly struck the victim on the head with a stone before pushing him into a drain, leading to his death.

According to police reports, a body was discovered in a drain in Sector 64 on Thursday. Upon receiving the information, senior officials and local police rushed to the scene. The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Rahul, who had been living on the footpath.

It is said that Rahul had no permanent address and had been residing in the area for an extended period. Initial investigations revealed that a dispute over ₹1,500 had arisen between Rahul and Ravindra, a 30-year-old resident of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Both men were known to each other and slept on the footpath.

On the day of the incident, the argument intensified, prompting Ravindra to strike Rahul with a stone in a fit of rage. Following the attack, he pushed Rahul into the nearby drain, where Rahul drowned, resulting in his death.

Upon receiving the report, police inspected the site and called in a forensic team for investigation. The body was taken into custody, and after completing the necessary formalities, it was sent for a post-mortem examination. Further legal actions will be based on the post-mortem report.

In a swift response, the police have detained the accused, Ravindra, who is currently being interrogated as further legal proceedings continue.
