Shocking Attack on Bihar Couple in Telangana: Woman Murdered in Front of Husband

Hyderabad, May 31: In a tragic incident in Sangareddy district, Telangana, an unknown assailant attacked a couple, resulting in the brutal murder of the woman in front of her husband.

The attack occurred on Saturday night near IDA Bollaram, close to Hyderabad. According to police reports, Anil Kumar and his wife, Meena Devi, were returning home on their motorcycle after shopping when their vehicle broke down near Gundigudem playground.

While Anil Kumar was attacked, his wife was dragged into the bushes where she was fatally stabbed. When Anil attempted to rescue her, he was also assaulted with a knife, suffering serious injuries that required hospitalization.

Meena Devi, aged 35, was later sent to the local government hospital’s mortuary for a post-mortem examination. Notably, her gold jewelry remained untouched, and there were no signs of sexual assault.

Anil Kumar filed a complaint at the IDA Bollaram police station, leading to an investigation into the incident. The couple resided in Venkateshwara Colony and had gone out to purchase groceries that evening. Their motorcycle malfunctioned in a secluded area, making them vulnerable to the attack.

In a separate incident in Kamareddy district, a man was murdered over a land dispute. The body of Raja Reddy, who had been missing for three days, was discovered in a well in Lingapur village. Police found the victim’s motorcycle and mobile phone near a function hall. Two suspects, including a father and son, have been arrested and confessed to the crime, leading police to the location where they disposed of the body.

Meanwhile, in Ranga Reddy district, a married woman died under suspicious circumstances. Bhavani, who had married just 11 months ago, reportedly committed suicide at her home. However, her parents have accused her in-laws of murder. This incident occurred under the jurisdiction of Rajendranagar police station in Cyberabad. The police have sent her body for post-mortem at Osmania General Hospital and are investigating the allegations made by her parents.
