Los Angeles, May 24: Renowned pop singer and songwriter Shakira is once again in the spotlight regarding her personal life. Recently, she opened up about her relationships, children, and the challenging phases she has faced. Following her separation from footballer Gerard Piqué in 2022, Shakira has been focusing on her children and career.
In a recent interview with the British newspaper ‘The Times,’ Shakira stated that there is currently no room for love or a new relationship in her life. Her full attention is on her children and her work, and she is thoroughly enjoying her solitude.
“I am not even thinking about a romantic relationship right now. There is neither space nor time for it in my life. I am already very busy. My two children, Milan and Sasha, are my priority,” she said.
Shakira also shared her heartfelt thoughts about her career. “At this moment, I have fallen in love with my work more than ever. I have never felt so close to my career as I do now. I am fully enjoying my solitude. This time is about understanding myself and viewing life from a new perspective.”
The 49-year-old singer recalled some of the most challenging times in her life. “When my relationship was falling apart, my father, William, was hospitalized after a serious accident. I was mentally and emotionally shattered. That period was the darkest of my life because the family I always wanted to keep together was falling apart.”
She added, “That pain taught me a lot. Life often presents situations that can break a person inside, but those very difficulties can also make one stronger. People often say that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and I now find that to be true. Difficult times reveal a person’s true strength.”
Shakira expressed gratitude for every moment in her life, whether good or bad. “Even those who have hurt me have taught me important lessons about life. Every pain teaches something new, and that learning eventually becomes strength.”
