Mumbai, September 23 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Shraddha Kapoor is in the spotlight once again, this time for her charming nature and engaging social media posts. On Wednesday, she shared glimpses of her Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, delighting in traditional ukadiche modaks while embracing the festive spirit.
Kapoor took to Instagram to post several photos from the celebration. In the first image, she can be seen enjoying delicious ukadiche modaks, her hair wrapped in a towel. She later shared a picture receiving blessings from Lord Ganesha. Another snapshot features her posing with her aunt, renowned actress Padmini Kolhapure, and Tejaswini Kolhapure. In other images, the actress is seen indulging in popsicles alongside a box filled with modaks. She humorously captioned one post, “Want modaks??? Not available.”
Ukadiche modaks are a beloved traditional sweet from Maharashtra, typically prepared as an offering (naivedya) to Lord Ganesha during Ganesh Chaturthi. The term ‘ukadiche’ means steamed, as the outer layer is made from boiled or steamed rice flour.
Ganesh Chaturthi is a ten-day Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha, marked by the installation of clay idols in homes and public pandals.
On the professional front, Shraddha Kapoor will soon be seen in the biographical drama “Etha,” directed by Lakshman Utekar. The film is based on the life of the legendary Maharashtrian Lavani artist, Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayan Gaonkar, known as the Queen of Tamasha.
In “Etha,” Kapoor plays the lead role of the artist, alongside notable actors Randeep Hooda, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Anant Joshi, and Siddharth Jadhav. The narrative follows her journey from humble beginnings in Pandharpur to leading a family troupe and achieving national recognition, highlighting the struggles she faced along the way.
