Shabana shared a beautiful photograph of her mother on Instagram, captioning it, “She was a wonderful wife, mother, homemaker, and a successful actress in her career. In her final days, I asked her which part of her life brought her the most satisfaction and happiness.”
Shabana continued, “In response to my question, my mother said that acting was her greatest joy. If I were asked the same question, my answer would be the same.” This touching post garnered reactions from celebrities and fans alike.

Shaukat Azmi was a celebrated actress in Indian theater and films, earning a special place in the hearts of audiences. She is particularly known for her roles in films like “Garam Hawa” and “Umrao Jaan.” Her husband, Kaifi Azmi, is regarded as one of the most famous poets in Urdu literature.
Kaifi Azmi passed away in 2002, after which Shaukat wrote an autobiography titled “Kaifi and I.” This book later inspired a Urdu play named “Kaifi Aur Main,” in which Shabana Azmi portrayed her own mother.
